Travel just got a major uplift. Keep reading to see all of its new and improved features!

If you would like to read the release notes specifically around Travel, then check it out here: http://help.threatswitch.com/en/articles/7833932-travel-release-notes

Before we even hop into what the inside of a travel report looks like, let's better understand the new Settings page! First things first, go to 'Notify' and select 'Travel'. Once you're on the Travel page, you'll notice the 'Settings' button in the upper right-hand corner. When you click into Settings, this is what you'll see:

A few things to point out. Under the Forms section, you can add any Forms that have already been created in your instance by clicking on the 'Add Travel Form' button. You can even determine if the Form will be required or optional! Beyond that, as an Admin, you can enable a pre-brief and even create a customizable pre-brief! Finally, within the settings section, you can require that all users have their passport information up to date prior to submitting a travel.

Now, enough of the settings, let's get to what you're itching to see: the travel function itself!

Submitting a travel report has never been easier or more organized! Start by hitting '+ Submit Travel' to start your travel process. Once you do so, you'll get a pop up that looks like the image below:

Fill out the information and click 'Start'. Once you do so, you'll see our new itinerary builder!

Here, you can add all aspects of your trip! Maybe you're taking a train to a different city, hopping on a flight, then getting on a cruise. You can add all of those! Take a below to see what it looks with the itinerary builder.

Pretty easy, right? Click on next step and check out what Forms you need to complete. Remember, as an Admin, you determine what Forms, if any, need to be completed and if they're required or optional. Users can click on the pen to sign their Forms within the report itself. Keep in mind that users won't be able to submit their report if they don't complete any required Forms.

Click on 'Next Step' in the upper right-hand corner to go to the Documents section. Here, users can upload any documents pertaining to their trip.

Finally, click on 'Next Step' and you'll get to the Briefing page! What users see here will depend on whether the pre-travel briefing option is turned on in the Settings or if you, as an Admin, have decided to create your own custom pre-brief text. Once users certify that they've read their pre-brief, their blue 'Next Step' button will turn into a green 'Submit Travel' button.

Once the travel has been submitted, users will be able to see the information they've input, signed Forms, and have the ability to edit. Beyond that, Admins and the users can download a report of their travel in the upper right-hand corner. Plus, they can more intuitively find the 'Start Post Briefing' button compared to its previous set up! Yipee for ease of use!

One last thing that I'll mention and I'll let you go :) Admins and users now have a Comment section! You can collaborate with one and other within the report itself rather than emailing back and forth.

Ta da! That's all you need to know about our new and improved Travel section. If you ever have any questions, make sure you use the blue chat button in the bottom right-hand corner to message the team!
