What’s New:
The NCSC “Safe Travels” resource link can be found within the pre-travel brief as users are submitting their initial Travel info.
Within the itinerary section of the travel report, users can now easily add additional modes of transportation to their trip! All they have to do is click any of the transportation or lodging items and they can fill in the details. Remember, users can stack and add as many modes of transport or places of lodging as they need!
Previously, the Destinations column in the Travel table only showed the countries of destination if the user arrived there via flight. Now, Destinations shows the arrival country for users traveling via boat and/or train.
Personal cars are now an option under car transportation, rather than only allowing for rental cars.
Travel now similarly reflects the other aspects of the product, in that there is a Comments and Attachment section on the left-hand side of all submitted travel reports! Employees can upload attachments after submission, as well.
Travel now provides a settings page. Admins can determine if there are any Forms that need to be signed, whether they’re required or optional is up to them! Or, a mix of both required and optional! Beyond that, Admins can enable the pre-brief, create a custom pre-brief message, and require passport information.
If an Admin decides to require passport information within the Travel settings, then users will not be able to submit their report without filling out their passport information.
The Boat itinerary cards will show any and all ports submitted by the user. Hooray for transparency!
Admins can now view all travel reports in all stages. That’s right. Admins can view pre-travel drafts too!
The destination of car trips are now apparent in their itinerary cards. This is especially helpful for folks going on day trips!
Within a report’s detailed page view, Admins can now add reviewers to individual reports.
Edit any of the itinerary items by simply clicking on the card! Also, all of the itinerary cards will automatically sort in date order, regardless of what order the user entered them in.
The Purpose of Travel dropdown has been updated to reflect DISS SEAD 3 requirements. The new options include the following: Vacation, Official Trip for Non-DoD Purpose, Official Trip for Government Purpose, Foreign Relationship Visit, NGO/Missionary Service, Business, and Pleasure.
Prior to a starting the post-travel briefing, the user will receive a pop-up to confirm their itinerary. A glance over never hurt nobody!
As a user is completing the pre-travel information, there is now a ‘Submit Travel’ button in the upper right-hand corner! Users will see this once they’ve acknowledged their pre-travel brief.
Admins and Employees alike can now see the various reports’ statuses within the Travel Table under the ‘Status’ column.
