Foreign contacts should be reported for a variety of reasons. Defense Security Service and/or Counterintelligence professionals can find out if your contact might be a member of a hostile intelligence service. This protects you, your company, and your customer.

In addition, you’re going to have to dig up all of these contacts the next time you need a background investigation; logging them in ThreatSwitch right away will make your life easier later.

To submit a 'Foreign Contact' is extremely easy. In fact by following these steps submitting any type of Incident is a breeze. Check out the steps below on ow to submit a 'Foreign Contact'.

  1. Log into your ThreatSwitch account and proceed by selecting 'Reported Info'.

  2. From there, we list out all the different Incidents you can report in ThreatSwitch. For 'Foreign Contact' simply select --- 'Foreign Contact'.

  3. Once selected, you will need to complete all required fields; Who is this report about, who is submitting the report, and the name of the contact.

  4. Any additional field can also be completed, but is not required.

  5. Once you 'Submit' this information, you Security Manager or FSO will take the next steps necessary and will be in contact if need be.
