Uploading your cleared personnel using a CSV file will require a few steps. Follow the instructions below to get your data in the correct format to upload into ThreatSwitch.

  1. Download the CSV template available here. This document outlines the information you are required to include; First Name, Last Name, SSN, cage_code and Email. You also have the ability to add Middle Name, Employer ID, Place of Birth, Date of Birth and Job Title -- but these fields are not required.

  2. Login to your account and navigate to the “People” section

  3. Click the “Import CSV” button (top right corner, next to the other import options)

4. After you select "Import CSV" the next page outlines the steps to input information into the document for a successful import.

5. Drag and Drop the CSV file into the import box to begin the import process.
6. Congrats! You have successfully imported your cleared employees using a CSV file. You can now invite them to complete a training or report information.

Some helpful tips for a successful import are:

  • When using your own CSV file use the following format: first name, middle name, last name, ssn, cage, email, employer id, job title, place of birth and date of birth. Example: Bob,Ray,Barkelyson,001-00-0001,4AE58,[email protected],A211,Engineer,"Atlanta, GA",09/01/1980

  • ThreatSwitch uses SSNs as an unique identifier, everyone must have a SSN listed

  • Emails provided in the CSV will be used for employee notifications and logins, all emails must be valid employee emails
